Roasted Arabica Coffee beans
Coffee Beans, Arabica Coffee Beans
Coffee beans are the seeds taken from coffee plants and the source of the world’s most widely consumed beverage called coffee. The two main varieties of coffee plantations are Arabica and Robusta. The bulk of worldwide coffee production is that of Arabica and it accounts about 70% of overall coffee production. Even though these coffee beans look the same when roasted, the two varieties differ in taste, growing conditions, productivity and price.
Arabica Roasted Coffee Beans tend to have a sweeter, softer taste, with tones of sugar, Fruit, and berries. Their acidity is higher, with that winey taste that characterises coffee with excellent acidity. They contain less caffeine as Robusta beans and grows at higher altitudes and slightly less rainfall (1200-2200 mm/yr) with cooler temperatures of 15°-24°C (59-75°F). Arabica coffee shrubs typically grows between 2.5-4.5 meters (8.2-14.7 ft) in height. In terms of yield, Arabica produces less coffee per hectare than Robusta and hence the cost of production is higher. It is mostly grown in Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Vietnam and India.
